UNICEF says water and sanitation are getting less attention than 10 years ago

UNICEF has issued a statement decrying the decline in aid to water and sanitation projects, saying that those areas used to get 8% of foreign-aid budgets, and now only get 5%. Access to safe drinking water is one of the most significant factors in improving both the quality of life and economic living standards in developing countries.
